ALEXANDER and the Terrible, Horrible, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY

This latest Disney pic is at once good and not so good.

I enjoyed many elements of the feature film: the cast: STEVE CARELL as Ben Cooper, JENNIFER GARNER as Kelly Cooper two parents who are about to live through a chaotic day; their children: ED OXENBOULD an Alexander Cooper, the initiator of the cursed day that is also his birthday, DYLAN MINETTE as Anthony Cooper, a teenager getting ready to go to prom with his sweetheart and KERRIS DORSEY as Emily Cooper, the one who is rehearsing for the opening of the school play in the role of Peter Pan. I always love MEGAN MULLALLY, here she is Kelly Cooper's boss, Nina, her appearance is short but she is terrific as the scary boss.

The film is also built on a good script written by ROB LEIBER. Unfortunately something gets lost in translation. I cannot deny that it is a pleasant movie but there are no uproarious moments like those I craved from this title, cast and production company.

It is a pleasant Sunday-afternoon-rainy-day movie.
