A MODERN MAN

Danish filmmaker Eva Mulvad ( The Good Life ) took it upon herself to draw a very well-crafted portrait of a singularly intriguing young violinist and high fashion model, Charlie Siem. The film begins with the camera following Siem in Monaco where he buys himself a bright red Porsche we then see him driving along a gorgeous road winding through mountains. The director spoke with us at the end of the film. She followed the busy young man for four years before editing the movie with some input by it's protagonist who is very brand conscious. 

He is aloof but focused on his art. We travel through the most luscious cinematography ever intercepted by enchanting music. At one point we see Siem getting a unique massage from a popular therapist who also reads the meaning of body points of tension and pain. This scene is about as intimate as we can get to this busy artist.

I enjoyed the journey very much. I investigated his birth chart to understand his character a bit more. He is born January 14 1986. On that day Sun Venus Mercury and Neptune were in Capricorn. Artists with many planets in Capricorn are disciplined and hardworking; they want excellence and success from their hard work. Interestingly, mountains, a symbol of Capricorn, feature prominently in the movie. He is born with Mars and Pluto in Scorpio, these two planets are the rulers of Scorpio. This is the signature of his discomfort at revealing too much of his inner self. Scorpios are secretive beyond all other signs.
