The master of suspense, film maker ALFRED HITCHCOCK, is a surprisingly complex character to bring to life. His unique physical appearance, the inner workings of his mind and his well known sadistic style of prank playing are brought to the fore in this dynamic multidimensional production. ANTHONY HOPKINS in the lead role is fluid in his portrayal of the cinematic genius's quirks and thought processes as he moves from one concern to the next. We observe how he transforms a news event into the greatest blockbuster of his career, the movie PSYCHO. All along he is supported by his beloved wife Alma Reville, played to perfection by HELEN MIRREN who steals the show in my view. Here we see her character struggle for her identity while remaining always faithful to her illustrious husband. The film is brilliantly cast with SCARLETT JOHANSSON, DANNY HUSTON, TONI COLLETTE, JESSICA BIEL among others adding excellence to the production.

Son apparence physique assez unique, les machinations de son esprit créatif et son sens d'humour sadique sont remarquablement mis à l'avant dans cette production dynamique et multidimensionnelle. ANTHONY HOPKINS donne une performance fluide dans le rôle du génie illustrant ses excentricités et ses processus intellectuels alors qu'il adresse un dilemme après l'autre. On observe comment il transforme un reportage dans les nouvelles en son plus populaire thriller, le film PSYCHO. Tout le temps il est soutenu par son épouse bien-aimée Alma Reville, jouée à perfection par HELEN MIRREN qui vole la vedette à mon avis. Ici on voit son personnage se débattre pour trouver sa propre identité tout en demeurant fidèle à som illustre mari. Le film a une distribution brilliante avec SCARLETT JOHANSSON, DANNY HUSTON, TONI COLLETTE, JESSICA BIEL entre autres qui ajoutent de l'excellence à la production.
