TSUI HARK directs this sumptuous movie, a tale of magic, politics, and intrigue. The style of the movie brings to life traditional Chinese art, the beauty and the subtle enchantment. The acting, done by TONY LEUNG KA FAI, CHAO DENG, CARINA LAU, BINGBING LI, ANDY LAU, to name a few, is masterful and precise. The choreography by SAMMO HUNG is spellbinding to say the least. The costumes and set took my breath away. To top it all off, the screenplay based on two real characters from history: Emperor WU ZE TIAN, the only female ruler of China, and Detective DEE: keeps you interested every step of the way. RUN don't walk to see this masterpiece.

TSUI HARK dirige ce film somptueux, un récit de magie, politiques et intrigues. Le style du film donne vie à l'art traditionnelle de Chine, sa beauté et son enchantement subtile. Le jeux des comédiens: TONY LEUNG KA FAI, CHAO DENG, CARINA LAU, BINGBING LI, ANDY LAU, pour en nommés quelques-uns , est ferme et précis. La chorégraphie de SAMMO HUNG est simplement ensorcellante. Les costumes et le décor m'ont coupée le souffle. Et pour couronner le tout, le scénario, qui est basé sur deux personnages réels de l'histoire: Empereur WU ZE TIAN, la seule femme régente de Chine, et Détective DEE: captive notre attention jusqu'à la fin. COUREZ ne marchez pas voir ce chef d'oeuvre.
