Kehinde Wiley made a name for himself for his moving portraits emerging from floral patterns. Below left, his famous portrait of President Barack Obama.
Amy Sherald is known for her opposite perspective where her subjects pop out of a background of rich flat colour. Below right, her famous portrait of First Lady Michelle Obama.
