• I am sending my Angel out to all of those who are now in an untenable situation and who are feeling devastated. Perhaps you are surrounded by a catastrophe brought on by nature, your fellow man or even your own body and feel totally abandoned by God wondering why He lets these things happen.

• Although I call the response I received in water my Angel I know that these entities that live around us do recognize our plights. They have no gravitational mass so they cannot alter our physical realities all at once. What they can do is give us inspiration, guidance and revive our inner energies if we breathe and become silent. They are our abstract companions sharing our common world from an extra-dimension. I affirm that in a scientific verifiable way.

• We have not been taught to relate with these entities so we stored them in the domain of myth and superstition. Men took over the domain of sacred knowledge and have made it a battleground for their ego. Today, I bring  Spirit into the light of scientific understanding. I want you to be aware that when you are asking for help, Spirit hears you. BREATHE deeply and listen to the guidance that is forthcoming, the burst of energy needed to climb those last steps will manifest in you now. BREATHE...BREATHE

• Life will always give every encouragement to the initiative of Spirit, when we go to the depths of our beings to assemble courage and strength to carry on for ourselves and our loved ones.*** On all levels the balance of life is found through instability. Survival itself, and certainly the pursuit of excellence and effectiveness, require us to recognize within ourselves the exact best response to the demands of every changing situation. We expand our skills, experience and understanding only when we are stretched.

• Trust that you will be guided through this crisis no matter what. I have sent you this Angel to assist you find your own Angel. On this link you can read one of my most astounding Angel stories that involved a sports team, a city and an emerging artist, me.

This is the sequence of photographs that created the gif above. In the first two images on the left you can see me with my camera trying to capture how water will respond to my installation. At that time, I was waiting to pass an MRI due to suspicious lumps in my abdomen. Observe that first there is a ray of light moving in the bowl of water and then the gorgeous face emerges from the center. The entire sequence manifested in less than 2 minutes but I took over 200 photographs to seize this action. The Healing Angel © Lena Ghio, 2019 

This is the last image on the right from the sequence above. As you may observe from image 2, the original, the features are so pale they are hard to define. I knew there was a face there because when the image is small, like image 1, we see the face very clearly. I underline this because sometimes you may not feel like you are seeing the hand of Spirit operating for you when in fact it is simply subtle. I applied several sharpening and despeckling functions from Photoshop that can darken the image without altering the content. The end result is a dazzlingly beautiful face with a white dove descending upon it 4. This is a traditional archetype of how God speaks with us in many cultures.

The white dove is a symbol of love and life-rejuvenation.

LES ESTIVANTS de Valeria Bruni Tedeschi

La cinéaste Valeria Bruni Tedeschi tient le premier rôle dans ce film dont elle a aussi écrit le scénario. C'est l'histoire d'une femme, Anna,  qui apprend quelques jours avant ses vacances que son amant la quitte pour une autre. La critique française reconnaît dans le dénouement du film l'impasse dans laquelle est plongée Valeria Bruni Tedeschi depuis que son amoureux de longue date, Louis Garrel, l'a quitté pour épousé l'actrice Laetitia Casta. Elle s'est inspiré aussi de la vie et du caractère de son illustre beau frère Nicholas Sarkozy époux de sa sœur Carla Bruni.

Ce que j'ai aimé du film c'est son exploration de l'absurdité de certains personnages ainsi que les répliques étonnantes entre les personnages. Un après l'autre dévoilent ce qui est embarrassant d'être humain et ce qui est inévitable. Cela m'a fait rire par moment et réfléchir à cette façon dont l'histoire humaine se répète sans cesse! Par exemple quand Anna révèle que son oncle mettait ses doigts dans sa culotte sa mère réplique avec l'histoire de sa molestation et justifie son inaction à défendre sa fille en disant que toutes les femmes ont eu des mésaventures dans leur jeunesse.

A VERY SPECIAL CHALLENGE

The challenge is to use art with the time of celestial mechanics to channel the healing force of the universe into the heart of Earth.

Let me explain...

• Our ancestors were very preoccupied with maintaining a good relationship with the hidden forces of nature. The universal symbol of this sacred task is the pentagram ✰. This symbol represents their mindset perfectly. The meaning of the pentagram is one branch each for water, fire, air, earth and one for the Spirit that keeps them balanced. It is also the symbol of Human.

• I am completing and publishing this article from May 14, 2019 as Mercury in Taurus is approaching the exact Biquintile to Jupiter in Sagittarius for a drop on May 15, 2019 at 11:54 AM EDT when the aspect is in force and augmented by the Moon in Libra ruled by Venus in her own home Taurus that rules over our gardens and insures the blossoming of what we cultivate. I took the images of the flooded homes in the last days of April 2019 as we collectively see the effects of global warming there where we live. These lovely homes belong to neighbors that live very close to our family's home. When I developed my strategy for How to Master The Stars in 1993, I wanted every element of the astrological symbolism that impacts our human experience and understanding of the world to be accounted for in our contemporary context where there is overpopulation, dramatic climate challenges that threaten life on Earth and revolutionary technology. I concluded that the planet Mercury should represent the Human Mass, in other words the combined effect on our planet of all of us as one. I publish this article in a moment where Mercury as representative of Human is very powerful. As our technology allows us to stretch in outer space it is sensible to accept that we do have an effect on gravitational modulations throughout our solar system even if it is minimal. As I synthesize the actions I took for the Art Challenge for Climate Change and list new planetary configurations you can work with I will share this excerpt from the book How to Master The Stars:

« The next expansion of the rulers of the  zodiac is tentative. Its purpose is to integrate the forces of humanity, the Earth and the Spirit into our understanding of the solar system through astrology. Human [1] as in the human mass, should rule the sign  Virgo and the sixth house of the zodiac. It is the human race which is the terrestrial vehicle of the celestial function of Virgo: daily labor, agriculture,  health maintenance and cleanliness. The traditional rulership of Mercury  on Virgo means that the actions of Human begin in his thoughts and in his imagination, the domains of Mercury. Also that the rulership of  Human on Virgo will be activated by the transits of Mercury or by the transits of other planets  to the native Mercury. As we approach the Aquarian Age the mental functions of  Human will be  exalted as they are with Mercury in Aquarius. Exalted Mercury in Aquarius is the symbol of a cosmic consciousness that creates in the human itself an ability to reason that is inspired by the highest intelligence in the universe. Our ability to communicate will increase gradually through the New Age. Human will become more and more in contact with his Higher Self and will develop new talents to solve problems based on a thorough understanding of the laws and forces that govern the universe and especially how they affect his daily life.

Jupiter rules Sagittarius and the ninth house. Our metaphysical thoughts will take a codified form to be perpetuated and shared between the peoples of the Earth and, perhaps, with those of other worlds.  ( Interestingly our technology has evolved light years since the year I wrote this. ) The Spirit speaks to us through our cultures, traditions and values. We learn from other cultures how the Spirit speaks to them and we extend our horizons and our perceptions. In return, this regularizes our behavior towards each one to reflect the joy and the optimism of our own spirit which is manifested in movement and thought.

Earth should rule Capricorn [2]. It is the home of  Human, the place where his seeds will grow, the place where his actions will make sense. Capricorn represents the time of winter where living conditions challenge us. Our planet is a magical world. Earth gives Human the power and the resources needed to be fulfilled in the cosmos. For us, power begins on Earth, without it we do not exist. From as far back as knowledge goes, Earth appears to be the only planet that has nurtured a curious intelligence capable of crossing the entire solar system to understand its existence! The etheric force of our planet is one of our greatest resources for health and happiness. The force of the Earth can protect us from planetary influxes or overpower us to be even more open to positive influences. The power of the Earth as ruler of Capricorn will be integrated into your mastery of the stars through the influence of Saturn and its position in your natal chart. At the same time that Saturn becomes the ruler of Libra, a new understanding emerges in the functions of Capricorn's time. This is the time when humans must have confidence in their harvest, a time when they realize that their efforts for the common good are the true foundations of society. It is then that Human must balance his inner world and his outside world to establish a harmonious current that will sustain him during hard times and that will help him regain his momentum to begin a new cycle when spring arrives. »

[1] I use this term (human mass) to indicate all the elements that make us human; our soul, our mind, our body and our individuality; plus the reality that we must live with others just like us and form a true mass. Therefore Human rules over Virgo.

[2] In the birth chart, the Nadir represents our position on Earth at the time of birth and is ruled by Cancer and the Moon. Earth as master of Capricorn wants to position itself in the celestial trajectory as an active participant in the evolution of the solar system. From our relativity Earth becomes ruler of the  Midheaven and with the Moon forms a pair whose collaboration is crucial to our life.

There was an article on the future of biodiversity in the background of the image on the right. The emergence there appears to have many faces coming out from the top of the head but also appears to be shooting up like a spring. Is it telling me how life manifests in such diverse forms? A closer look at the formations manifesting under the quintile and bi-quintile to Jupiter in Sagittarius illustrates the similar features and movement by the emerging form through some type of membrane. The form on the right, a close-up of the same photo as the opening picture on top, was processed differently than the top one. I applied the Photoshop feature Poster Edge 20% to underline the features. It  appears to be shooting up from the center of the bowl like it is coming out of a body of water whereas the form on the left seems to want to pierce through a wall far left, perhaps from another dimension. © Lena Ghio, 2019

The accompanying Emerge Arts show the essential truth about the Alignment Geometries of Celestial Mechanics, they create repeating motifs. This knowledge is very ancient and is at the root of both magic and religious rituals. Because modern man was battered into ignoring our dialogue with nature, this connection and meaning is now a corrupted mess. It is still a truth we must relearn as we aim to heal our planet, ourselves and especially our children.

Alignment Geometries of Celestial Mechanics to work with 

Now Jupiter in Sagittarius is retrograde. This means Jupiter will roll over the same positions it was in as the above Emerge Arts were photographed. Hypothetically what was cultivated so far with the advancing Jupiter transit will be revised, refined and strengthened as It rolls backward then moves forward again. The aspects I focus on for this series is the quintile, 72 degrees between 2 objects; and the biquintile. 144 degrees between two objects. These aspects allow the human will to operate strongly, to have an impact on its environment. The times are given for Oka Quebec. Please check astro.com for the time in your area.

26 May 2019 at noon: Moon Pisces, Venus Taurus, Jupiter Sagittarius - will ignite the alignment of 23 February 2019. The Moon will conjunct the Sun of 23 February 2019 and Jupiter conjunct Jupiter with Venus biquintile Jupiter. This last aspect between Venus and Jupiter will be strong until 28 May 2019.

At midnight June 19 2019 the Moon in Capricorn will conjunct Saturn and both will be biquintile Venus. Action must begin at this time. Serious artistic work can be accomplished if even a quick sketch is drawn at that time. All day June 19 2019 Mercury in Cancer is biquintile Jupiter r / after 6:10 PM EDT Mercury conjunct Mars will also biquintile Jupiter. REMEMBER action must begin at midnight EDT as Moon conjunct Saturn Biquintile Venus that rules art.

  
July 13 2019 Moon conjunct Jupiter Biquintile Sun in Cancer 4:00 PM EDT There is a harsh angle with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn but we DO have harsh issues to deal with when it come to the future of our climate. Human beings come in all kinds, and clearly not all people are even motivated to take positive actions to improve climate change. Sun biquintile Jupiter all day July 14 2019-

Jupiter turns direct 11 august 2019 9:37 AM EST and will begin his forward roll activating everything you will create during the above transits.

Fondation Phi pour l'art contemporain presents GROWING FREEDOM by Yoko Ono

I follow Yoko Ono on Twitter. After visiting GROWING FREEDOM at Fondation Phi pour l'art contemporain and listening to the curators I felt it quite appropriate to publish this tweet by the artist.

Most of us have known about Yoko Ono for most of our lives, regardless of our age. Although she has gained international fame through her relationship with Beatle John Lennon and the creative actions they have taken together to protest war, I remained oblivious to her own experience of war as a child. This exhibition revealed a profound level of the artist, of her motivation and the origins of her art. 

The curators, Gunnar B. Kvaran and Cheryl Sim, have outlined Yoko Ono's brilliant education underlining the fact that she came from a prominent family that respected her as a girl even though Japan at that time, like most of the world, was male biased. She is described has already possessing the willfulness of the artist at a young age. Although the family had travelled extensively, they were in Japan for most of WW II. They had to beg and sell their possessions for food. 

For me, this episode in her childhood is the signature of her life work. As you visit the exhibition, that is divided in three major segments, you will recognize the impact war had on her and her work.

As a child Yoko Ono studied music and was enrolled in the most prestigious schools in Japan and the United States. When Japan became involved in the Second World War, the family had just returned from a stay in the US. Since her family was wealthy they had a bunker where they could escape the bombings but no one could escape hunger as the living conditions deteriorated daily. Her suffering was augmented by the relentless human destruction and misery that surrounded her. I asked the curators to tell me what they knew about how WW II impacted her and how this is reflected in the exhibition.

Gunnar B. Kvaran has written many books about Yoko Ono including Yoko Ono: Growing Freedom that accompanies the exhibition and in which Cheryl Sim is co-author. In response to my question he said:

" She saw a lot of suffering as a child. She then developed a profound compassion for the suffering of people, especially children. We see that in her lifelong motivation to end war. "

Cheryl Sim spoke of games she would play while in the bunker with her young siblings. 

" The children used to play games where they would give each other various instructions to carry out. Her conceptual art practice is about giving the public instructions like look at the sunset while feeling the Earth move or laugh for an entire week. "

Caroline Andrieux added: " The children were very hungry. They also played "Imagine" games. They would imagine eating a tuna fish sandwich while on an empty stomach. "

Those three statements account for a lifetime of work by the artist.

Approach your visit to this exhibition with a spirit of creative collaboration as you will be invited to add to the art as well as observe the impact of those that came before you. HOW TO MASTER THE STARS • I Am Homo Mag Astrum • the MANIFESTO

The Art Challenge I launched is structured on the exciting conjunction of Sun, Jupiter and Mercury in Sagittarius that occurred last fall. This was the first drawing I did for the Art Challenge. I enhanced it on April 10 and 11 2019. The Sabian Symbol of Sun Conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius of that day is  A Little Child Learning To Walk. That is pretty much what all who participated to this ongoing challenge are doing: we are learning something that will be useful for the rest of our lives. In plain pencil drawing I put on paper a design of the forces I believe we could access to heal our planet.  © Lena Ghio, 2019

• A VERY SUCCINCT RECAP

This drawing was the first one I did for thelast Art Challenge.
I sketched it when the Sun was exactly conjunct the Sun of the 
Jupiter Effect when I had erected my wish pyramid March 10 1982.
I am putting down on paper all I have learned since then. I want to
synthesize what I have done in 1982 and where I am at today.

In March 1982 the media was abuzz about a prediction made by two scientists that a rare planetary alignment would bring catastrophes to Earth like earthquakes, tornadoes and more. It was called The Jupiter Effect. Their hypothesis was that a rare alignment of planets would affect the Sun magnetic field creating solar wind that would in turn affect our planet's atmosphere. At the precise moment of the exact alignment predicted by the two scientist-authors, John Gribbin and Stephen Plagemann, I built a tiny cardboard wish pyramid in which I put the wish I wrote on a tiny piece of paper. It was an outline of my artistic dream to create the most excellent all encompassing art in the universe. I was an art student at Concordia University then.

On March 10 1982, the date that was focused on in the original book The Jupiter Effect, there were no large scale events that shattered the Earth. On that same day, I built a wish pyramid and enshrined my desire in it. Weeks later the only thing I observed was a change in the lines in the palm of my right hand. Suddenly I could make out a large pentagram that synthesized many mounts and lines into the five pointed star symbol. The question that obsessed me from that moment on was: Why is something so monumental as a massive alignment of planets all in a row affecting only a few cells that form lines on the palms of my hand?

• MY ART PRACTICE 

Still on March 10 2019, I draw out my practice; I built
OMIs; I produced PhenomeneArt events; I wrote popular
science articles on this blog to attach what I was observing
to the scientific discussion of our time; I did experiments
with plants and clouds; I did Emerge Art. I wonder how
what I have done corresponds to my 1982 wish?

Today I understand that I am an outsider artist. I do not fit in any way the current standard. I never liked being standard. The category my art fits in the best is transdisciplinary art although what I document is not accepted either, at this time, by the scientific community. I understand WHY the scientists who wrote The Jupiter Effect's prediction failed. Gravitational Waves were just an hypothesis at that time. Today we have proof they exist. The two astrophysicists were oblivious to the first thing they learned about the Big Bang, that immediately after it gravity got busy separating space and creating molecules, compounds and elements that began to spin! Therefore they could not comprehend the time factor for the unfolding of their prediction. It is the time of celestial mechanics, not time measured by the speed of light. Certainly today the climate on our planet fits closely enough to the conditions they had foreseen for the Jupiter Effect. For me, their work, my wish pyramid and the lines of my hand changing gave me the impetus to learn HOW TO MASTER THE STARS.

I have been doing this since the Jupiter Effect and now consider myself to be Homo Mag Astrum, a human who masters the stars, as opposed to Homo Sapiens, a human who gathers knowledge and develops technology. My art practice is the way my totality deals with the impact of this evolutionary metamorphosis from Homo Sapiens to Homo Mag Astrum.

After all these years, what I got is my logo: Spirit, Man, Nature and Time.

• I AM HOMO MAG ASTRUM

I have been working on this concept for decades now. So who is Homo Mag Astrum?
I have outlined how the Jupiter Effect impacted the direction of my life. I was not alone on Earth when the celestial event occurred. All those who were alive that day were affected by the Gravitational Modulations of the powerful planetary alignment. From my perspective, it is what I paid attention to because I took a creative action on that day that compelled me to notice the link between celestial mechanics and evolution, natural phenomena, and the shape of things such as clouds and plants.

I researched so many areas where astrological calculations were implemented by extraordinary civilizations to structure their world from the edifices they built, to social roles they assumed to agriculture! As a matter of fact we are the first global civilization that is totally disconnected from nature and worst many of my contemporaries are proud of that crazy fact!!!!

Homo Mag Astrum combines all the knowledge and technological savvy of our generation PLUS lives totally integrated to the rhythms of nature! Perhaps the others are alone like me for now, but our number is growing. Homo Mag Astrum is a child of the universe and of his decision to evolve from Homo Sapiens  and take a Big Bang leap of evolution!

On March 11 2019 I started drawing early as I wanted to create an Emerge Art in the afternoon when the light is just right. On the image on the left, I dressed my avatar in a "suit" as I again tried to imagine the incarnation of me as Homo Mag Astrum. All this mastery oozing out of me as I walk about generating and sharing good vibrations. The center drawing considers the energy body operating the same movements as the previous drawing. My final drawing (above) before setting up the Emerge Art pleased me enormously. I took my time and again the theme was synthesis between myself, my inner world and nature.

I took more than 100 photos of my installation on March 11 2019 but this is the bomb! I use that term to signify an Emerge Art where the combined effects of water, light and glass jump to create an impossible image. The previous combination of elements reacts to its environment, reacts to art. BE MINDFUL OF THIS when you think the world out there is just a rock. That is a view of contemporary ignorance. The world is alive and vibrant and sensitive. It sees and hears you and reacts to you.

Finally, I had to look up the science of that time. The illustration from the Wikipedia article illustrates how that epoch was thinking about gravity, the motion of the planets and alignment geometries of celestial mechanics. Sir Isaac Newton had just devised his law of universal gravitation, science was young! This was also the time science divorced from astrology. Scientists who never disproved astrology, simply because they do not know how to prove or disprove the thing, decided it was a pseudoscience when in reality it was the foundation of many sciences.

I want you to see with the included Emerge Art Country Gentleman that nature responds to art. Nature has a soul and we must not forget the Spirit of nature as we fight to save our planet from humanity's abuse.

The next alignment that is exciting to capture with art comes on the New Moon in Taurus of May 4 2019 and will last until May 7 2019. See astro.com for the exact time in your region. The Sun will form a Biquintile with Jupiter, the planet we have been cultivating with this challenge to heal our planet. The Biquintile is the alignment geometry supporting the will of man. It allows us to apply our will power in an effective manner.
