• The Centaur Theatre had its season launch recently and it was bittersweet. There is great joy and anticipation at welcoming Eda Holmes as the new Artistic and Executive Director of Centaur while saying goodbye to the excellent Roy Surette who is heading west to explore new horizons. The program is thinner than in previous years because the building will be undergoing major renovations beginning January 2018 that will leave only one stage open for business for a while.
We were told with great joy that Wild Side Festival, Urban Tales and Saturday Morning Children's Series will all return. There is fun and madness at these events that stretch our imagination. The public and patrons of the theatre will also continue to enjoy the Sunday Chat-ups and Talk-Backs where professionals on a variety of issues associated with the plays presented come and chat with people and answer their questions on subjects as varied as dementia and climate change.
Here are a few titles to look forward to:
Playing with Fire - 03.10 > 29.10.2017 - The epic, reckless and inspirational life story of a hockey legend.
